1. Remove the insole and laces — wash separately by hand.
2. Use a soft brush (an old toothbrush works) with cold water and mild soap.
3. Scrub the upper gently — mesh areas need light pressure only.
4. Wipe the midsole with a damp cloth — avoid soaking.
5. Clean the outsole rubber with the brush.
6. Air dry at room temperature, away from direct heat and sunlight.
7. Stuff with newspaper to hold shape while drying.
| Threat | Effect |
|---|---|
| Washing machine | Agitation breaks down foam cell structure |
| Tumble dryer | Heat causes irreversible compression |
| Radiator drying | Heat warps midsole shape |
| Direct sunlight | UV exposure degrades EVA foam over time |
| Prolonged moisture | Softens foam bonds over time |
Remove the insole after every run if the shoe gets wet inside. Insoles left wet for extended periods develop odour and can degrade faster than the shoe itself.
