Saucony: half size up or true to size?

The short answer: True to size for most models. The Ride, Triumph, Guide, and Endorphin series all fit standard in most runners' experience. The one exception worth noting is the Kinvara, which some runners find slightly short in the toe box — a half size up there is worth considering.

Coming from other brands

Nike and Saucony use similar standard sizing. Your Nike size is the right starting point for Saucony. Brooks and Saucony convert the same — your Brooks size is the right Saucony starting point.

The thumb rule

With the shoe on and laced at normal tension: press down at the toe end of the shoe. A thumb's width of space between your longest toe and the end of the shoe is correct. No space means size up. More than a thumb's width means consider sizing down.
