Saucony Ride sizing UK: half size up or true to size?

The short answer: The Saucony Ride fits true to size for most runners. Order your standard running shoe size. If you are between sizes, err toward the larger half size — running shoes should have a thumb's width of space at the toe.

The standard conversion

Men's: US size minus 1 = UK size (US 9 = UK 8). Women's: US size minus 2.5 = UK size (US 7 = UK 4.5).

Width

The Ride is available in standard, wide (2E), and extra wide (4E) in men's. If you typically need a wide fitting, check availability for the specific colourway before ordering.

Coming from other brands

If you usually wear Nike: Ride fits similarly — standard size is the right starting point. If you usually wear Brooks Ghost: the Ride fits slightly narrower at standard width. If you usually wear ASICS: most runners find standard Ride sizing consistent with ASICS.

The thumb rule

With the shoe on and laced: press down at the toe end of the shoe. A thumb's width of space between your longest toe and the end of the shoe is correct. No space means size up. More than a thumb's width means consider sizing down.
